"get rid of it: I can't, it sparks joy!" 2021
This project is an exploration of our relationship to our everyday objects; and how we may or may not deem these items as precious or valuable. The emotional attachment to seemingly ‘useless’ artefacts, was often confusing and frustrating. This was navigated through the mixing of so called ‘common’ and ‘precious’ materials. The pieces are a form of visual thought into how one could carry, wear or display items that remind them of a time, place person, or event.
