I found creating visual boards extremely helpful, to use as a reminder of my concept direction. The two boards shown above: mood board (left) and customer board (right), enabled me to think of Psyber in the most realistic way possible.

Throughout my research into digital fashion, some of the early notable influences on my direction include the work of the Fabricant, Carlings, and Berlin-based brand Ottolinger - renowned for their “interplay between creativity and destruction” (Dalton.R, 2017)

Psyber’s first collection was designed through a series of iOS games (Toca Tailor Fairy tales, DIY Fashion Star, The Sims Freeplay, Hello Kitty Fashion Star etc.) - with outfits created in-game being collaged to imitate the concept of reworking. Most iOS fashion design games did not allow for much customisation design wise, with some games catering more towards dress-up urges than design activities; this emphasised the need to collage, deconstruct and reconstruct outfits to create new designs.

The final outfits were drawn onto Lil Miquela, a well known CGI model, using procreate. Working in procreate was a method for me to attempt to achieve a three dimensional look and feel, prior to being able to work in programmes like CLO and Blender.
